Lost Chimes is Gemma and Nicky Kirk, blending traditional folk with a contemporary dream pop twist.

2020 saw the release of their first single, a paired back version of the Joy Division classic, "Love will tear us apart." A single and music video release for "Island" followed in March 2021.

Their self-titled album was released in May 2021 and is an alluring, indie folk soundscape, filled with 'standout, haunting vocals', stories of hope, loss and the energies inbetween life and death.

Lost Chimes recorded with long term collaborator and producer, the late John Hannon. (NO Recording, Liberez, Understand). John helped to create a trademark sound, performing clarinet, violin and more on the record. RIP John, you are sorely missed.

The band have been featured on BBC 6 Music (as Hunt Us), Resonance FM, Exile FM, Howlin Magazine's Fresh in London Spotify Playlist, Phoenix Radio Australia, Black Cat Radio, New Music Saturday, Radio Wigwam and Wud Records playlist amongst others.

2024 will see the release of their eagerly anticipated second studio album with visionary artist and producer, Gerry Diver.

The new record sees the band expand their sound to create a rousing emotional collage, documenting the stories that connect us with the lives of others, past and present.

Gerry has recorded and performed with a wide range of artists including Youth (Killing Joke), Lisa Knapp, Tom Robinson, Jah Wobble, Spiritualized, David Tibet (Current 93) Mundy, Van Morrison, The Popes and the late Shane MacGowan.
